Dear Timothy,

Thank you for reading the article and for your very passionate, thorough, and long response. You seem like a man who does not want to condemn others, while having a log in his own eye, which I applaud.

I have read your attachment and appreciate your defense of not killing gays. Presently, scores of homosexuals are being killed in Africa, all in the name of Jesus.

I do not want to exchange one long position-stance for another one that disagrees. I am grateful that you read my article and that it motivated you to defend your position.

Your position is classical "Evangelical." I have heard that position for most of my life. In fact, I am now an Exvangelical -- having been abused far too many times by Evangelicals. I understand the Evangelical position on gayness.

Please know, however, that currently there are just as many Main Line Protestant Christians as there are Evangelical Protestant Christians. And Main Line Christians majoritively believe possessing same-sex attraction is not a sin, that gays should be married in the Christian Church, and that gay pastors should be ordained. Your Evangelical faith is strong and respectful. My gay Christian perspective is likewise.

Finally, when we both get to heaven we will have a very long, very loving chat about how we both we wrong about out deeply felt perspectives. And yet, Jesus will be hugging us both.

Thanks for your respectful response and I wish you God's very best.
