One other reader challenged my use of the term "senile." You are correct that former President Trump is nearly as old as President Biben -- plus he, too, has committed countless gaffes. As I expressed in the article, there is no way I am voting for Trump. So much of his rhetoric sounds quite dangerous. I also appreciate that a vote for an Independent candidate is most likely to help Trump. I am honestly frustrated that America cannot provide any better candidates than Trump or Biden.

Of course, as an Independent (or as a member of any political party) I have every right to vote for whomever I see as most fit. You have that same privilege.

Right now, I am focusing on the macro positions of the Democrats vs the Republicans. Both have their plusses and minuses. Republicans make me feel safer, should we be in a World War. Plus, I am a capitalist at heart. However, Democrats stand for many of the virtues that Jesus stood for: help for the homeless, the marginalized, the elderly; compassion and grace. I am therefore leaning toward Democratic leadership.
