The term “gay” is technically synonymous with “same-sex attraction” (SSA), in that both speak of men who experience a homoromantic and/or homoerotic longing toward men whom they find attractive. Some gay/SSA men engage in homoerotic activity; others abstain and remain celibate. Many gay/SSA men are born again and are abstinent and avoid sexual sins.
