Hi D. J. Thanks for reading the article and sharing your response. Both of us have had experiences as evangelicals — and we have a different opinion of how much at fault evangelicals are in the abusing of LGBTQ individuals. Also, I agree that many closeted gay Christians provide vitriol upon the gay community. That said, certainly many straight evangelicals have heaped condemnation upon the LGBTQ community for decades. I really appreciated reading your perspective and I thank you for sharing.
