Jeff, thanks for taking the time to read the article, plus your passionate response. I share your perspective that many of Jesus’ followers of modern times have not shown Jesus-like love to others. Certainly I am a recipient of unloving treatment by Jesus’ followers — merely because I am queer. I have not ignored that reality. Rather, I choose to show compassion to those who victimize and torture me. Thanks again for your response and I wish that every fundamentalist would become more loving (as I wish the same for myself).
